Area of Practice

Wildlife immobilization and sampling

Including assistance on sampling and immobilization protocols in a variety of terrestrial species and training on proper sampling and immobilization techniques.

Forensic and general necropsy of wildlife

For illegal wildlife cases, training on necropsy and sampling techniques and general necropsy for sample collection.

Health assessments of a variety of species for ongoing conservation and rewildling efforts

Including sampling for specific pathogens, blood collection, and physical exams for release.

Review of repatriation plans and other protocols

Consult on a variety of wildlife conservation plans, including the repatriation of animals confiscated from the illegal wildlife trade.

Relief work for zoos/aquariums/wildlife rehabilitation facilities

Available for short term relief work as needed.

Partnering on One Health initiatives, providing expertise on wildlife disease and conservation concerns.

Are you a board certified wildlife vet?

No, but I am eligible to take the board exam in 2025 and intend to become board certified through the American College of Zoological Medicine and the European College of Zoological Medicine, specializing in wildlife.
